Clippings scrapbook, [193-].

This scrapbook contains newspaper clippings including articles about President Franklin Roosevelt, the shooting of notorious gangster, John Dillinger, and the inauguration of Alabama Governor Bibb Graves. Some of the articles are dated as early as the 1930s. Most of the clippings have no date. The scrapbook also contains poems, photographs cut out of some old magazines, loose pages from a hymnbook, and the words to the song "Home on the Range" written on State of Alabama Executive Department stationary.

John Herbert Dillinger (June 22, 1903 – July 22, 1934) was an American gangster of the Great Depression. He led a group known as the "Dillinger Gang" which was accused of robbing 24 banks and 4 police stations. Dillinger escaped from jail twice. He was charged but not convicted of the murder of an East Chicago, Indiana, police officer who shot Dillinger in his bullet-proof vest during a shootout.
